Northeast - 233 East Hennepin Ave
Just across the river in Northeast Minneapolis sits local favorite, New Bohemia, a modern day wurst house and beer hall rooted in old world traditions. With ceiling-strung cafe lights and sweeping communal tables, this charming pub serves as the perfect, intimate spot to let loose with your group over an expert-led beer and sausage tasting. Whether you’re going for another bite of their rattlesnake rabbit jalapeno sausage or another sampling of one of their freshly-tapped local brews, one thing’s for sure: your group won’t leave New Bohemia thirsty or on an empty stomach. Guests will arrive to the pub and be greeted by New Bohemia staff. A variety of stationed hors d'oeuvres will be available and waiting to be enjoyed while your group trickles in. Once the entire group has arrived, one of New Bohemia’s in-house experts will lead everyone through a casual tasting of six to eight of their rotating draft beers and ciders, handpicked to complement the selection of tasty sausages that will also be presented. After the tasting, guests will be able to order beer or wine from the main bar and continue to enjoy the delicious food.
“It doesn't get any better for beer (bier?) and sausage (wurst?) lovers than New Bohemia, except for, you know, Germany. This place pours more than 60 brews and is always cooking up a variety of sausages and other beer hall-esque grub.” Thrillist
“Don’t dismiss the Adventurous side of the menu — nightmarish contents like rattlesnake and alligator end up being just as palatable as the more ordinary sausages. The Rattlesnake Rabbit Jalapeno wasn’t spicy at all, but was much softer and richer than the andouille, with a gentle gamey attitude near the end. Topped with honey caramelized onions on a toasted bun, it was really really nice.” The Heavy Table
