The history: Located in the basement of the famous San Marcos Hotel and named after the city’s founder, this 100-year-old speakeasy was the go-to watering hole for the nation’s elite after World War I.
The exclusivity: No signs on the door and a secret password required to enter makes this spot the perfect place to escape for a cocktail.
