Private mixology class and cocktail tasting at Edgewood Speakeasy

Edgewood Speakeasy | Old Fourth Ward

20-40 Guests

2 Hours

Private Space

Tucked away behind a secret bookcase in Pizzeria Vesuvius lies the entrance to a creative cocktail bar. With unique cocktails, local and regional craft beers and boutique distilled spirits, guests are sure to find something they'll love in this swanky space. Guests will arrive at 327 Edgewood Avenue and enter through Pizzeria Vesuvius, where they’ll check in with the host. They will then be directed to the secret door at the back of the restaurant where they'll gain private access to the exclusive speakeasy. After all guests arrive, the head bartender will greet guests and discuss the roots or bartending and the history of select 'shaken' and 'stirred' cocktails. After a brief demo and Q&A, guests will break up into two groups—a shaken and stirred group—to whip up cocktails. The groups will then switch to get the full bartending experience.

Edgewood Speakeasy Reviews

"Even if the speakeasy thing has been done plenty of times before, there’s something fun about finding good, unpretentious cocktails behind a bookshelf in a pizza shop." Atlanta Magazine

"...You've probably heard all about how that bookcase is actually a door and how the book Deliver Us From Evil is actually a door handle. Swing that puppy open and bam!— you're in the dark and sultry, secret spot known as the Edgewood Speakeasy. There are exposed brick and hand-painted walls, a dark wood bar, and dim lighting, intended to create a 'vintage feel.' Old black-and-white movies are projected on the wall." Atlanta Eater
