Book an Event at a Michelin-starred Restaurant

In the food industry, there is no award more prestigious than the Michelin star, with the gold standard being three stars. Last week, the 2017 Michelin Guides came out, giving restaurants around the world one, two or three stars for being the best in the biz. So we wanted to call out a few Kapow partners and chefs that received the honor of making the guides. Check them out.

Chicago

Tru

Topping our list, Tru was awarded two stars this year for its Mediterranean-influenced French food. The venue is decorated with art by Andy Warhol, Karl Blossfeldt and other world-renowned artists, making it the perfect backdrop for your next event.

Sixteen

Enjoy amazing views of the Chicago River on the sixteenth floor of Trump International Hotel & Tower. This critically acclaimed restaurant continued to hold the two Michelin stars previously awarded to it. If you want to get a taste of luxury, check out this champagne tasting or book a three-course dinner.

Spiaggia

Serving up modern Italian food, Chicago’s Spiaggia earned a Michelin star this year. The Gold Coast venue offers panoramic views of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s iconic Michigan Avenue. Check out their three-course dinner and cocktail reception with Kapow.

If none of those places are striking your fancy, both Roka Akor and Coco Pazzo have been Michelin recommended—so they’re guaranteed to be a hit with your guests. And the chef of GT Fish & Oyster is carrying around his own Michelin star.

San Francisco

chez-tjChez TJ

This contemporary French restaurant pulled in a Michelin star for its cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. Experience all the flavors of the Mountain View hot spot with this seven-course dinner from Chef Jarad Gallagher.

Octavia

The new restaurant from award-winning chef, Melissa Perello garnered a Michelin star in this year’s guide, continuing the trend from last year. Dine at the chef’s table during this unique, behind-the-scenes experience that’s sure to impress your clients and co-workers.

The Greek and Turkish cuisine of Thea Mediterranean has earned it a Michelin recommendation. And the Latin cuisine, sangria and guacamole of Consuelo Mexican Bistro have garnered a recommendation as well.

New York City

Aureole

aureoleCharlie Palmer’s flagship restaurant, Aureole, has always been seated at the top of the list of foodie favorites. This elegant venue was given one star this year, and you can enjoy the creative culinary work of the iconic chef. Book a three-course dinner or cocktail reception at that New York City hot spot.

Bar Jamon

Owned by Mario Batali and Lidia Bastianich, it’s no surprise that Bar Jamon received a Michelin star this year. The tapas restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy small bites with wine pairings or go hog-wild and book a whole-animal feast.

Maman

If you’re looking for something a little different, stop by Michelin-rated chef, Armand Arnal’s restaurant, Maman. Enjoy a traditional French fondue dinner or go the healthy route and book a matcha dinner, complete with a lesson on the superfood.

Chef spotlight: Daniel Boulud

When it comes to Michelin-rated Chefs, Daniel Boulud is your guy. If you want to get a taste of his cooking, swing by DBGB for a three-course chef’s table dinner, or host a Parisian cocktail hour at Bar Boulud. Or enjoy a Mediterranean meal at Boulud Sud.

Michelin stars relocated

Chicago’s Michelin-recommended, Roka Akor, has a second location in Phoenix. Book an event online to roll sushi with clients or enjoy a five-course Omakase-style tasting menu.

Michelin-starred chef, Daniel Boulud has countless venues in NYC, but corporate groups in D.C. can enjoy his award-winning food at DBGB Kitchen & Bar. Book a dinner with wine pairings or cocktail reception with small bites through Kapow.

While the Michelin star is like the Oscar of the food world, it’s not the only famed award. Many of our venues have earned James Beard awards, Eater awards and various other industry accolades. To browse through experiences in your city, click on the button below.
