Set in modern day Los Angeles, this musical explores what’s more important: true love or getting your big break.
Passengers: Who doesn’t love a little JLaw? This is one of the hottest films of the year and sure to be a crowd favorite. In a routine journey through space, two passengers, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, are woken up 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions, and they realize 5,000 sleeping passengers are in grave danger. This action-packed film will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Lion: A contender for best picture, Lion tells the story of a boy who gets lost on a train that takes him thousands of miles across India when he is five years old. Twenty-five years later, the boy is living in Australia with his adoptive parents and decides to set out to find his lost family and return to his first home. We won’t spoil it, but Google Maps has a big role in his journey.
Hidden Figures: There’s quite a bit of Oscar buzz around the film, Hidden Figures, which tells the tale of three brilliant African-American women at NASA. These women serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanized the world.
