Kapow is the world’s leading corporate events platform offering unique experiences that are easy to book and drive bottom-line results. We curate thousands of experiences that are built to drive attendance, getting you more face time with your clients. Throughout 2017, we’ve booked several of these experiences to gain face time with our clients and encourage team bonding. The below experiences are Kapow tested and approved. Check them out and find out what Kapow employees have to say about these great experiences.
First up is Delmonico’s Iron Chef competition in NYC. All guests are given a professional apron and chef’s hat before rolling up their sleeves to compete in the ultimate appetizer cook-off. Delmonico’s Event Director, Carin Sarafian and Executive Chef, Billy Oliva help to coach and encourage the teams before they taste test all creations and crown a winner. As an attendee at this event, I was smiling the whole time. It was so interactive and exciting!
Kapow National Account Manager, Kathryn Shark, recommends the Le Pain Quotidien pizza-making experience as a great team building event. “The pastry chef and team at Bleeker St. were wonderful,” says Shark. “They were engaging, fun and extremely knowledgeable. Smiles were everywhere, the pizza was DELICIOUS and being able to bring home your own dough to replicate what you learned in the class was a bonus. Everyone was talking about coming back with their co-workers and friends. I can’t say enough good things about LPQ’s Pizza Making. You’ve got to experience it!”
Jenna Auer, Kapow’s Senior Account Manager based in San Francisco, recommends Museum Hack (also available in NYC, DC and Chicago). “This event is a great icebreaker,” Jenna says. “By the end, everyone was friends.” Jenna also notes that guests get a unique art history lesson, making the fun event even more memorable. If you’ve already tried and loved Museum Hack, you might also like Escape Room Races or Brooklyn Boulders. Kapow has booked both experiences for our quarterly team building events and both experiences have gotten high marks from employees.
For our Q4 kickoff, Kapow hosted a cocktail reception at Celeste and added The Murder Mystery Co. Experience Enhancement. The actors from The Murder Mystery Co. brought their interactive production to the venue, so our team could play a live Clue game while enjoying drinks and bites at Celeste. “Murder Mystery is a great way to get people interacting with each other,” says Casey Baldin, Sr. Account Manager in Chicago. “Celeste is fun no matter when you go, but the old-school vibe and cocktails paired with a glamorous murder mystery made for a memorable experience. And the sliders…. definitely try the sliders.”
Finally, we tried the punch-making demo at Arbella for a client event in Chicago and added a Timbuk2pop-up shop. Here’s what Olivia Bruns, our Manager of Venue Marketing & Experience, had to say: “Arbella and Timbuk2 came together for an amazing event! Not only was the featured Arbella cocktail delicious and the space perfectly intimate, but the Timbuk2 ‘design your own backpack’ pop-up gave guests something creative to do. Having an additional talking point and activity is always a great idea, and this one was a home run.”
